Introduction

A Hook Lift, also known as a Demountable Container Unit, is a system attached to a road vehicle that allows it to pick up and place containers. The system works by lifting the container from the rear of the vehicle and placing it on the carrying chassis. The container can also be tipped to empty its contents.

The Hook Lift system is operated by using the hook at the rear of the vehicle, hence the name “Hook Lift Truck.” These trucks are mainly used for transporting bulk waste materials, logistical supplies, refuse, and even in fire and rescue services. The course trains operators on the equipment’s usage only; it does not cover driving the vehicle.

Training will take place on-site at the customer’s premises.
