Our Kent RTITB Lift Truck Instructor and Examiner course provides a clear and structured pathway into professional forklift training. Delivered over 10 days, this programme focuses on developing both your technical ability and your confidence as an instructor.
New instructors will require the ten-day course, those wishing to re-validate their current qualification will require a five day course.
To qualify as an RTITB Lift Truck Instructor, all four elements of the assessment must be completed successfully.
Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements, and we recommend at least six months of operational experience.
Each candidate will be assigned a theory topic at the start of the course. During the second week, you will deliver a 20–25 minute classroom-based lesson to fellow delegates and the course instructor.
Time is built into the programme to allow preparation and practice prior to delivery. There are no additional attempts for this assessment.
All candidates must complete a written theory examination consisting of 48 questions.
A minimum score of 80% is required to pass.
If necessary, candidates may retake the test up to two additional times during the course. Mock tests are available to support preparation.
On the final day of the course, candidates will deliver a 30-minute practical training session, assessed by an external RTITB examiner.
Lesson topics are allocated during the second week, allowing time to prepare and practise delivery. This assessment must be passed, and no retakes are available within the course.
Course fees include all examination charges, training materials, course publications, and refreshments provided during the training period.
Designed for new instructors entering the training environment.
